Recently, there have been many newspaper articles depicting the "doom and gloom" of the real estate market.  At face value, many of their facts are correct.  However, they do not take into consideration the trends over the last few years.  The latest article discussed the drop in median price.  There is no doubt, it has dropped.  Again, what they don't tell you is what happened from what we all typically feel was the "high" market and the current conditions.  Below is a chart I have compiled from actual statistical data provided by our local Real Estate Board.
